Haze Seas Rework Status: Haze Studios is rebuilding Haze Piece into Haze Seas. Most mechanics below reflect proven Haze Piece systems and confirmed Haze Seas rework details. Bookmark our active Haze Seas codes page and Haze Seas beginner guide for the latest transition updates.
Weapons in Haze Seas—primarily swords—offer a deterministic power path alternative to Devil Fruit RNG. Sword mains progress through vendor purchases and quest unlocks, chaining M1 combos enhanced by Buso Haki for reliable damage in PvE and PvP. From starter katana to Cursed Dual Katana, every blade tier gates on Beli, quest flags, and sea progression. This guide covers sword tiers, upgrade routes, and how weapons integrate with builds on our build hub/ and walkthroughs across all three seas.
Weapon Tier Overview
Our weapon tier list/ ranks swords S through C. S-tier end-game blades—Dark Blade v2, Cursed Dual Katana, Sun God Sword—require Sea 3 progression and substantial Beli investment. A-tier swords like Soul Cane, Iron Mace, and Dark Blade v1 bridge Sea 2 content. B-tier progression swords—Katana, Cutlass, Dual Katana—carry our Sea 1 walkthrough/ and early Sea 2 walkthrough/. C-tier starter weapons get replaced quickly; do not over-invest accessories on them.
Sword Progression Route
Follow our sword progression guide/ for exact vendor locations on the Sea 1 map/, Sea 2 map/, and Sea 3 map/. Typical route: Starter Katana → Cutlass → Iron Mace → Dual Katana → Soul Cane or Shark Saw → Dark Blade v1 → Cursed Dual Katana or Dark Blade v2. Each upgrade requires Beli farmed through our PvE farm builds/ and quest completion flags from the walkthrough hub/.
Sword Combat Mechanics
Sword fighting centers on M1 combo chains, block timing, and Buso Haki activation. Unlock Buso through our Haki guide/ before attempting Sea 1 boss content with swords. Observation Haki enables dodging fruit projectiles in PvP—critical once you reach Sea 3 PvP zones covered in our PvP builds/. Higher-tier swords add unique move sets or enhanced range that change combo timing; practice on NPCs before dueling players.
Sword Builds and Stats
Sword mains max melee damage, split defense and energy, and minimize fruit stat investment. Beginner sword builds on our beginner builds/ use a sixty-thirty-ten stat split through Sea 1. End-game PvP sword builds from our PvP builds/ push melee higher with enough defense to survive one fruit combo. Accessories from our accessories guide/ should boost melee damage and health—not fruit stats.
Sword vs Fruit Decision
Choose swords if you prefer mechanical skill and hate spawn RNG. Choose fruits if you want AoE farming and transformation power spikes—see our Devil Fruits guide/. Hybrid players exist but split stats underperform dedicated builds in Sea 3. Race passives from our race tier list/ like Lunarian and Dragonoid benefit sword mains with combat stat bonuses.
Premium and Event Swords
Dark Blade v2 and similar premium swords may require Robux or rare quest items. Evaluate cost against free progression swords—Cursed Dual Katana competes with premium options for PvP. Redeem codes from our active codes page/ when Haze Studios grants Beli discounts or sword-related event rewards during the rework transition.
Sword Skill Training
Spend ten minutes per session practicing M1 cancel timing and block punishes on Sea 1 NPCs before taking sword builds into Sea 3 PvP. Record which swords change combo length—Dual Katana plays differently from Soul Cane, and end-game blades add special moves that reset your muscle memory. Pair mechanical practice with stat checks on our PvP builds/ so you know whether losses come from execution or from under-invested melee stats and accessories.
Sword and Haki Timing
Toggle Buso Haki before engaging every pack and boss—not mid-combo when damage already missed. Observation Haki should be active in PvP zones and fruit spawn islands where ambushes are common. If Haki drains too quickly, redistribute energy stats using guidance from our build hub/ rather than skipping Observation entirely.
End-game sword specials often share cooldowns with Haki activation windows—practice the opener on NPCs before using it in Sea 3 PvP where whiffed cooldowns lose fights instantly.
